Are You Satisfied? is a series made up of five digital collages. The images used are sourced from either my personal collection of photos, or from online sources. I created this body of work to emphasize the troubled nature around my experience with religion in my life. The process of creating these pieces became therapeutic. A way to express  my religious traumas. Are You Satisfied? is meant to confuse, unsettle, and ask the church a question; are you satisfied with what you did to me? The intense contrasting imagery is not meant to be easy to look at. I created this body of work by splicing and blending images and textures together. Some of the imagery I used is related, others are not. But the beauty of collage is that you can take completely unrelated things and manipulate them to make sense together. In a way, the manipulated nature of this work represents the manipulative nature of religion.
